Everything you need to know about planning a Spa Day
Planning a wedding can be stressful on both the bride and the Bridesmaids, so why not calm those pre-wedding nerves by booking a relaxing and pampering Spa day for you and your favourite ladies.
Spending quality time with your bridesmaids is important as once you are married you might not have as many opportunities to socialise with them.
Tips for booking the perfect Spa Day
Most spa’s offer bridal packages where the bride and bridesmaids can receive 2 to 3 treatments, access to all spa facilities and a light lunch with some drinks.
Make sure the spa can accommodate a large group and can give you treatments at the same time. Otherwise you won’t actually get to spend quality time with each other.
Book the appointment about four months in advance. Make sure to have your spa day two weeks before the wedding. This will be the perfect time for you and your besties to take time off and relax.
A week before the wedding is not always ideal as guests might already start arriving from abroad. So make sure it’s a weekend where everyone will have fee time on their hands.
Turn your phone off for the day, unless it’s to take selfies. This is a time to really relax and bond with your friends, so texts and work e-mails can wait.
Don’t forget that large group bookings are often entitled to 10-15% off and that some spa’s even offer evening Spa treatments, where you can end the night off in a Jacuzzi with a glass of wine.
The spa will usually have a multitude of treatments you can choose from, such as –customized facials, eyebrow-waxing, spray tanning, body wraps, massages, manicures and pedicures.
The benefits of having a spa day before your wedding are numerous. You and your bridesmaids will have lovely glowing skin and beautifully manicured nails.
A good massage will also release positive endorphins, relieving your stress and giving you that happy feeling on your wedding day.
If you are feeling very adventurous you could hint for your bridesmaids to organise your bachelorette at a Spa and have a Spa bachelorette party.
