Umtamvuna River Lodge is a perfect setting for a romantic beach or garden wedding in a sub-tropical garden. Located in the town of Port Edward on the KZN South Coast you can enjoy a year-round warm climate.
The Lodge has its own private river beach, rolling lawns and tranquil gardens, offering a beautiful romantic setting for the ceremony.
The reception area leads on to a spacious covered wooden deck facing the river, and can seat up to 120 guests. For a larger number, a stretch tent can be set up on the lawns, at an additional cost.
For a small intimate wedding, the lapa at the pool is an ideal place, enhanced by the tranquil sound of cascading water from the rock pool.
You will have exclusive use of the Lodge for your wedding, thereby ensuring privacy for you and your guests.
Umtamvuna River Lodge has their own wedding co-ordinator, and they work closely with a number of preferred wedding suppliers. They are confident to recommend the services of makeup artists, hair stylists, photographers, florists and DJ’s.
Wedding packages are available to suit every budget and the team will advise and assist with choices of plated or buffet menus.

Accommodation at Umtamvuna River Lodge
The Lodge can accommodate twenty adults in ten ensuite air-conditioned rooms, while children can be accommodated on sleeper couches in each room.
Each room has a king size bed with fresh percale linen, a bar fridge, tea/coffee facilities, WiFi, a flat screen TV, a seating area and your own private deck.
The tasteful honeymoon suite has a king size bed, a lounge area, a standard bath, a jacuzzi and a private deck, and breakfast can be added on for the bridal couple.
