Bridal Beauty – A complete pre-wedding beauty guide

Tips for the perfect pre-wedding beauty regime

With all the urgent wedding preparation in the weeks before a wedding, it’s no wonder that brides often get distracted and forget all about their pre-wedding beauty regime.

Time-consuming dress fittings, venue meetings, catering issues and pre-wedding stress, can result in the bride overlooking the small but significant details. Such as getting their brows groomed, booking a facial or simply trimming their fringe.

To make sure you look absolutely radiant on your wedding day, here is the ultimate guide to your pre-wedding beauty preparation.

Six months before your wedding

Firstly, don’t leave all your beauty preparation for the last week before your wedding, looking good takes time.

Start preparing 6 months before the special day by detoxing your skin. To detox, drink plenty of water, cut down on sugar and make sure you moisturise your skin every day. Detoxing months before the wedding will result in your skin having an utterly fresh and gorgeous glow on the day.

Schedule your make-up and hair appointments at least 6 months ahead of the date. This will ensure that you get the hair stylist and make-up artist that you want and will avoid the disappointment of them already being booked for that date.

Four months before your wedding

If you would like to change or experiment with your hair colour do this 4 months before the wedding. The number one bridal hair rule is never get your hair cut or coloured just before the day. Hair mishaps can occur and there will be no time to correct a bad hair- cut or incorrect hair colour on the last minute.

If you are planning on getting your teeth whitened, make an appointment at least 3 months prior to the wedding. As you don’t want to have sensitive teeth and gums on the wedding day.

One month before your wedding

A month before the wedding is the time to get all the small, but important procedures done. Which are tinting and shaping your eye-brows, getting a gentle facial and exfoliating your arms and legs. This is also a good time to do your make-up trial, to get an idea about the look you want.

In the last three weeks, your beauty regime is already in full swing. You have detoxed your skin, you have decided on your wedding hairstyle and you have a lovely bright smile. All that needs to be done are the last finishing touches such as visiting a spa– having a manicure and pedicure, getting a relaxing massage, waxing your legs and most importantly enjoying your wedding.
