For a garden wedding, the manicured lawn in front of the 17th century Cape Dutch Manor House is a perfect setting, where up to one hundred guests can be accommodated on the lawn or under an elegant marquee.
The enclosed terrace is a weather safe option leading out from the function room, and can be used for the ceremony, the reception, a lounge area or a dance floor.
The main venue can seat one hundred guests indoors or fifty guests on the terrace overlooking the mountains and vineyards.
Weddings at Rickety Bridge Winery
Rickety Bridge offers an all-inclusive wedding package that takes all the stress out of planning a wedding.
The package includes venue hire, exclusive accommodation and wedding co-ordination for sixty or more guests. All crockery, cutlery, glassware, furniture for the ceremony and reception, a welcome drink, canapés, a three-course meal, Rickety Bridge wines for toast and dinner service, a basic bar set up, waiters and barmen. The package also includes a gratuity on food, and B&B accommodation in the Manor house for six guests for two nights and preferential rates at Basse Provence Country House that can sleep another 20 guests, only 800m away.

Menu
The elegant and extensive menu choices consist of a selection of hot and cold canapés, on arrival, with vegetarian options, and a three-course meal with a choice of starters, mains and desserts.
Function Manager
Rickety Bridge function manager will be on hand to provide assistance with all co-ordination, including décor and design, music and entertainment, sourcing and overseeing the florist.
She can also assist couples with a list of contacts for Rickety Bridge’s preferred wedding suppliers – photographers, cakes, marriage officers, and other service providers as well as booking accommodation and menu tasting.
Accommodation
The package includes five-star accommodation in the Manor House which can sleep six guests in three ensuite rooms, and with a communal lounge.
Basse Provence Country House, across the Franschhoek River, offers four-star accommodation and features one luxury room and a two-bedroom family loft. There is also a country house with five luxury ensuite rooms and one two-bedroom cottage.
All rooms have air conditioning, DSTV, a mini bar, tea/coffee facilities, Wi-Fi, secure parking a swimming pool.
Rickety Bridge Wine Estate also offers the option of a pre-or post-wedding braai and a mimosa breakfast for all wedding guests in house or those staying at other facilities.
