The Burne family has made legal history by having the largest number of members admitted into the legal profession in South Africa.
In October 2004, Garth Burne, became the first of the fifth generation and the 13th member thus far of the Burne family to enter the profession, when he was admitted on the 5th October 2004.
The family’s legal career dates back to 1st July 1880 when William Burne was admitted.
