"If you are looking for a stay that feels completely removed from the world - yet wrapped in comfort and understated luxury - Pelican Point Lodge is nothing short of extraordinary. Set at the very tip of a remote peninsula between the Atlantic Ocean and the Walvis Bay Lagoon, the lodge occupies a converted lighthouse building surrounded by sea on almost every side. The drive alone feels like an adventure crossing the salt flats and sand with flamingos in the distance - and when you arrive, it feels as though you’ve discovered a secret. The location is simply breathtaking. On one side: crashing Atlantic waves. On the other: the calm lagoon filled with pelicans, flamingos, and seals. At sunrise and sunset, the light over the water turns everything gold and pink. You feel like you’re staying at the edge of the earth. The rooms are spacious, elegant, and designed to maximize the view. Large windows frame the ocean so completely that you can watch seals playing in the surf from your bed. The décor is tasteful and warm - luxury without being flashy. Every detail feels thoughtful and intentional. The hospitality is exceptional. The team led by Marvin is attentive without being intrusive, and the atmosphere is relaxed and personal. Meals are beautifully prepared by chef Zion, often featuring fresh seafood, and dining with panoramic ocean views is an experience in itself. There’s something very special about enjoying a candlelit dinner while waves crash just meters away. Zion’s bread is also to die for. Few places allow you to see thousands of seals lounging nearby, pelicans gliding overhead, and flamingos wading in the lagoon — all without leaving the property. It feels wild, untouched, and authentic. What makes Pelican Point Lodge unforgettable is the feeling it creates: peace, remoteness, and quiet luxury combined. It’s romantic, adventurous, and deeply calming all at once. Whether you’re celebrating something special or simply seeking a unique Namibian escape, this is a place you will talk about long after you leave. Five stars - and then some." - Nicole W
"Thank you for a wonderful weekend filled with nature's extremes. We arrived in heavy winds, got stuck to the brim, wonderful support from your emergency number as well as other cars roaming on Pelican Point at that time. The next morning the road we had taken upon arrival was under water with mist so tight, we couldn't see the sea from the lodge. We skipped kayaking due to the weather and opted for a long, very long walk, way to the Point itself and all the way back past the lodge to the shipwreck. We saw jackals, pelicans, seals in abundance, bristle star fish, little crabs, giant seagulls, the strandlopertjie and many more. Pelican Point remains a tranquil wonder of untouched nature. A recharge through and through, this weekend has been. Unforgettable is the right word to use. Your staff has been lovely, lively, and friendly. Zion's food was delicious, Nicole's service superb. Marvin was happy to escort us back to the salt pan road, which made the way back easier. It's amazing how the land has shifted over the past few years, where we used to drive, is now a bed of seagrass and slick, and some stretches it feels as if the sea is encroaching on to the land. Will be interesting to see how this landmark will shift in future. " - Silke
